It's a no-frills electric vehicle that will excite most people who want to buy an electric vehicle. The plug-in hybrid gives you 48 miles of driving on a single charge. This is on the electric-only mode but should be enough to cover most people’s daily commute needs. There have been no changes to the model since its previous iteration in 2020.

The plug-in hybrid is available in all 50 states and is considerably cheaper than the fuel cell version. The 2021 Honda Clarity also has perforated leather upholstery, automatic climate control, the latest safety features, smartphone integration, power-adjustable seats that have memory settings.

Engine And Performance

The Honda Plug In-hybrid is powered by a 181hp generating electric motor that has a 17 kWh lithium-ion battery. The 4 cylinders, 1.5 -liter engine mainly acts as a generator for the battery. This plugin hybrid races from 0-60mph in 7.7s with a combined power of 212hp. This is admirable for a plugin.

Battery Life

As with every electric vehicle since you do not have to top it up with the fuel you’ll have to charge the vehicle. When on the only electric mode the car can cover 48 miles in one charge but when combined with the gas motor it goes up to 340 miles. On a 240 volt charger, it takes only 2-3 hours to charge the Honda Clarity while on a 120-volt charger it can take up to 12 hours.
