Fuel Economy

The fuel economy offered by the 2021 Passport varies depending on whether you choose the front-wheel-drive (FWD) or the all-wheel-drive (AWD). The FWD model offers up to 20 MPG within city limits and 25 MPG on highways. On the other hand, the AWD model offers 19 MPG within city limits and 24 MPG on highways. While the difference is minimal across the two models, it’s clear that the FWD variant is slightly better than the AWD as far as fuel economy is concerned.

The 2021 Honda Passport features a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that delivers 280 HP. It’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The FWD model is the standard offering, but buyers can opt for the AWD model by paying a little extra. The Passport offers excellent towing capabilities as well and is able to tow a maximum of 5,000 pounds. The ride quality and handling are top-notch irrespective of the road and weather conditions.

The interiors of the 2021 Passport are more functional than fantastic. The seats are quite comfortable and there’s ample cargo space as well. The 41 cubic feet cargo space is enough to accommodate at least 15 carry-on suitcases. If you fold the last row, you can maximize cargo space up to 78 cubic feet, allowing you the freedom to carry up to a whopping 33 carry-on suitcases.

Tech and Safety Features

The 8” touchscreen infotainment system has all the latest features such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. However, additional tech features such as wireless phone charging and Wi-Fi hotspot are only available on the high-end Elite and Touring trims.

The Passport also offers several safety features such as:

  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Lane-keeping assistance
  • Lane-departure warning
  • Automated emergency braking
  • Forward-collision warning

All in all, the 2021 Honda Passport is an efficient mid-size SUV. Visit us at Empire Honda of Manhasset, a quality Honda Long Island dealership in Manhasset, NY, near Roslyn, North Hills, and Thomaston.
