Windshield Wiper Replacement For Honda Civic

Remember that this set of instructions is for a Civic, so it may vary, depending on what kind of Honda you drive:

• Be sure, before you even start this process, that you have the correct wiper blades for your specific model. Check your owner’s manual for a part number just to be on the safe side. If you bring your vehicle in for service at a Honda dealer, they'll have the wiper blades you need in stock.
• Away from the windshield, the blades should first be raised for easier access during replacement.
• On both sides, pinch inward on the pinch clip along the blade holder (about halfway up). Otherwise, you might need to press down on a peg clip, for some models. The blade will be loosened, either way, and can then be slid from its holder, downward. Remove the blade.
• A new blade can now be positioned. At the wiper attachment, point the hooked end then, into the holder, slide it upward until it clicks in place. To open the holder, you may need to apply pressure for the pinch clip type so you can slide in the new blade.
• For the wiper on the other side of the windshield, repeat the process.
• Make sure you test the blades out before you take a drive, because you don't want something to be wrong if it starts to rain or snow (or something splashes onto your windshield).
